Bad.

So bad. Horrible.

This describes the last month, the last week, the last hour.

The worst month I have ever had by a factor of three. The worst week I have ever had. The worst hour I have ever had. My 2010 profit flatlined.

My graph now looks like a teepee, and my ability to play the games I want to is in some jeopardy.

I think I might be too busy to play poker for a while.

My two cents, the main challenge from a downswing, i think, is not trying to get it back too quickly. (Its taken me over three months from my last peak).

Back to basics, solid brm, play a little lower stakes if you need to for confidence, and table and seat select regligiously for a bit.

Patience is the key at the tables, as well as off the tables in building your bankroll.

good luck mate

A quick look at random PTR graphs will re-assure you that you are still in the top 5% as a flatliner.

A bit of a break is probably a good idea and then work your confidence right back up again. Can I ask how you AI EV line went on the up and the down as I find this to be a more accurate reflection of true winrate.

Also, I find that when my confidence goes that my Non Showdown Winnings line goes back to a 45% downslope. Has this happened?

If so a few days break and then get back at them with the aggression and value betting that you had mastered.

It feels crap now, but you'll be back and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

I was about $1000 down in AIEV over that period. That's not a huge % of the overall downswing, until you consider that I have played a really tiny volume of PLO and NLH compared to FLH. AIEV doesn't measure the FLH suckouts, nor does it measure the coolers like TPTK vs two pair which seemed to happen time after time after time when I was actually a dominant favourite preflop.

Wow ... that all sounds brutal. I forgot about the AIEV not really applying to FLH. Ugly.

I think a break is in order. Maybe you and the missus should just take me up on the free accommodation offer and get yourself over here for the ANZPT lead up events because Tourney variance isn't nearly as bad :-).
