And so it continues

The session was going badly already, after I ran into aces with a hand THREE times. Also flopped two pair vs a set. Then this shit happened to cap it all off.

Yes folks, that's a one outer on the river.

p.s it was Euro

Ouch, time for a break, I think. That's cruel timing for a 1-outer.

It sounds from your ps that you are starting to doubt the randomness of the site. Not a good sign either.

BTW, does that replayer come with Euro? It is such a joy to rerun your hand. I ran it 3 times to look at it from the A6 perspective.

That kind of luck never lasts, but in your spot a break is probably a good idea ... at least for 24 hours :-).

No, I don't doubt the randomness of the site. But I did do a tilty thing after I busted out on the table - I bought back another 80 Euro out of frustration while knowing I should walk away. After that I caught two runner-runner club flushes against the same guy which was kind of amusing (though not for him). It was nice, but didn't go anywhere near recovering my losses.

By the way: check out pokerhandreplays.com. You just paste in the HH and it produces this nice flash applet.

I suppose one question with that hand is whether I should 3 bet with 88, and whether that 3 bet would have caused A5 to fold..

keep playin with the fish and it will turn around.

however, dont' the euro tables rake significantly more than the $ tables?

Proportionally, the rake is identical to $2/4. $3/6 is preferable to E2/4, as the cap is $3 or E3 respectively. You also get more Linxpoints on 3/6.

I don't like 3-betting 88 preflop in your pot. There isn't much you are ahead of and you're getting too tied to the hand.

On the flop, did you telegraph a strong hand prematurely?

As it turned out, even a check-raise on the turn wasn't losing the winner. Just unlucky card sequence, mate.

Wow ... just checked out the replayer site ... it accepted my PokerOffice format str8 off ... really impressed ... more hand posts from me coming up ... thx so much!

I dont mind three betting here when the limper is likely weak, and I can get heads up with the raiser.

I thought about check-calling the flop, but was a bit concerned about clubs. There was also the chance that the PF raiser might raise my bet with an overpair.
