Maniac time

Speaking of William Hill, the first table I sat down at, I found myself on the left of a complete maniac - preflop raising almost every hand. My tactic against him was to reraise any decent heads up hand (any pair, most aces), and defend my blinds and to play hard any hit flop. It worked ok, but maniacs still make me nervous because they cost you big when they hit. Here is a typical hand:
