William Hill still runs goot

I finished my monthly $50 on WH yesterday, and won a further $40 (20BB) in the process. So my initial $100 deposit i now up to $260 after just over five table hours of play. Can't complain.

I also recently joined UltimateBet through PokerSourceOnline (see link on the right). I know that UltimateBet is evil (if you don't know what I'm talking about, just google "UltimateBet scandal"), but the bonus is just too juicy. PSO give you $125 once you earn 375 points, which is roughly 250 contributed raked hands. I initially deposited $100, and nearly busted a couple of times before recovering to around $45 and finishing the bonus for an extra $125.

hehe great work on william hill. i think i often have a similar result there which is always handy.

most of the pso bonuses clear at a pertty massive rate although i've only done about 4 or 5 so far. how many actual hands did it take you to clear ultimate bet? at $1/2 or another level?

I'll have to check my stats to find out how many actual hands I played. I played mostly shorthanded 1/2.

There is some confusion on PSO, because they talk about "UB points", whereas the site has "Ultimate Points" and "Rai$e points" which are quite different beasts. And it's a new system, so I don't know if UB has been a bit slow to catch up.

There don't seem to be many decent money bonuses on PSO at the moment. The Absolute Poker one ($125) looks tough as you need 750 "raked hands" (which means hands where you reach the flop and the rake is at least 0.50).

I don't have all of the hand histories, but it looks like I played approximately 700-800 hands to earn the bonus. Bear in mind that I haven't actually received the bonus yet (still being validated)..

I made the mistake of signing up for Everest some time ago, but never made a deposit. I like the look of the free books offer at 2+2. You sign up for Everest, deposit $50 and play "some hands" and they send you five free books (and there are some decent ones you can choose including Harrington and Stoxpoker).

The PSO bonus at Everest just looks like the standard deposit bonus to me. Or do you see a different bonus to me?

700-800 hands of 1-2 for a bonus of $125 is quite decent. thats around 8bb/100. Think i might take that one up. Lemme know if they release it.

With Everest, you get the free gift of 12,000 PSO points that converts to $120 bonus as well as the normal sign up bonus.

I guess you already figured this, but the $225 bonus consists of $125 "easy" money from PSO (375 Ultimate points) plus $100 "hard" money from UB. The UB money is complicated, but I've cashed $10 in the time it took me to earn the PSO bonus - the rest probably isn't worth it.

Ah, thanks for the tip about PSO points. I didn't realise they are directly transferrable to cash. A number of the PSO points offers look like pretty good value - I'm thinking Hollywood, PokerRoom, Action, FullTilt. I alto noticed that PT3 is better value if you buy it with PSO points..

Oh, and Gnuf.

Of those you mention, i have done hollywood, pokerroom and gnuf.

The points arent really directly transferrable to cash but it is as good as - I usually cash out my pso points through party poker whenever I have earned 10,000 i buy the $100 party credit.

Fulltilt, i'd probably keep as a long term site and sign up with a rakeback account rather than go for the one off bonus just because its the 2nd biggest poker room. (again i'd use raketherake to sign up to fulltilt for the added bonus of a huge freeroll as well as rakeback). With rakeback and the MGR deducted sign up bonus, the total rakeback still is quite high. (probably around 60%).

The good thing about fulltilt is that there are always lots of tables running, you can usually find some fishy ones, and the bonus $ clear in $10 multiple and don't expire for 6 months as far as I know.

If you don't think you'll ever want fulltilt as a long term site, then sure go for the bonus.

Good point about FT, I'll keep it in mind. I have delayed joining FT and Stars for pretty much this reason.

($100 Party credit is as good as cash in my book ;-)
